Rev. Kenneth Atherton
Associate Pastor
Ken Atherton became Assistant Pastor on October 1st of 1984. Ken came from a pastorate of six years in Colorado. He is a graduate of Grand Canyon University and holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has also received special clinical training in crisis ministry and counseling, as well as certification in Clinical Pastoral Education. Currently Ken is seeking certification in Church Business Administration and hopes to receive that during 2003. In addition to his responsibilities as Assistant Pastor, Ken serves as the Church Administrator, and works with Evangelism and Family Ministry.
Ken and his wife Sandy have been married since 1973 and they have three sons, all of whom have surrendered to full time Christian ministry. Two are married and serving in churches while attending seminary and the other is finishing college before he begins seminary training. Ken and Sandy are enjoying being new grandparents.
