Wow! What a tremendous weekend! I am writing this column from Lynchburg, Virginia where Brad, Wes and I are attending a Purpose Driven Church Conference hosted by Rick Warren.

Sunday evening we worshipped with over 10,000 attendees, many of whom will be participating in the 40 Days of Purpose Campaign starting this Saturday. We will be learning the Biblical foundation of what a "Purpose Driven Church" is and how 40 Days of Purpose will help our church body identify and follow God’s purpose for Fee Fee Baptist Church.

Pray for us as we learn how to teach and lead our church family to embrace and follow God’s purpose in our lives.

We begin the 40 Days journey this weekend. A church banquet begins at 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening at Missouri Baptist University. Following the dinner, we will gather in the Pillsbury Chapel to watch the 40 Days Simulcast. Over 5,000 churches will be participating in this 40 Days Campaign. The evening will conclude with the dispensing of the book, The Purpose Driven Life.

Sunday, the 12th of October, marks the beginning of the 40 days. The Sunday School lessons and the worship service will focus around the 5 purposes that God created for us.

Sunday will also mark the start of our Host Home Bible studies. Pray for these as we embark on this great journey.

The Sunday evening services from October 12 - November 23 will be presented by our youth. Come and join us as we find and follow God’s purpose for our church.

The excitement has already begun and the best is yet to come. 40 Days of Purpose is here. Clear your calendar and make this a priority.
